“A Hora da Estrela – O Musical” receives nine nominations for the 4th Ceará Encena award

A premiação acontece, dia 23 de maio, no Theatro José de Alencar

The list of nominees for the 4th Ceará Encena Award was announced, an award that enshrines the plays of the 2017-2018 season held in the capital of Ceará. Among the highlights is “A Hora da Estrela – O Musical”, being one of the shows that received the most nominations, among them: “Best Adult Show”, “Best Production” and “Best Sound/Trilha”.

Produced by Deberton Entertainment, general direction of André Gress (Avenida Q – O Musical) and adapted by Allan Deberton and André Araújo, the plot of the musical was inspired by the homonymous book by author Clarice Lispector and tells the tragicomic saga of the young Macabéa in the city large through the verses of the songs arranged and musically directed by Liliane Secco.

In this edition, the artists Aderbal Freire Filho, Jane Azeredo, Marcus Fernandes and Oswald Barroso will be honored in the special category for their relevant contribution to the stage and to theater itself in Ceará. The award will take place on May 23, at 7 pm, at Theatro José de Alencar (Fortaleza/CE).

About the award

The Ceará Encena Award celebrates Ceará’s theater and artists who, throughout the year, stood out in their roles, both on stage and in technique. Organized by the Arte de Viver group, the judging commission is made up of professionals in the field of recognized merit in the State, among them: Paulo Ess, (actor, director and theater researcher); Hiroldo Serra (actor, director and theater producer); Almeida Junior (actor, director and theater producer); and Hemetério Segundo (actor, director, producer and theater researcher), current president.
